Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pelaa software ("Pelaa", "the Software") and the website at pelaa.tv, both provided by IB Enterprises Oy (Y-tunnus 3365722-8, Likolammintie 15, 49860 Klamila, Finland; "we", "us"). By purchasing or using Pelaa you agree to these Terms.
1. The product
Pelaa is a macOS application for tagging, organising, annotating, and exporting sports video. It is licensed, not sold.
2. License
Subject to your payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use Pelaa on Mac devices that you own or control, for your own coaching, analysis, or business purposes. The license is granted per individual user.
You may not redistribute Pelaa, resell licenses, share license keys with other people, reverse engineer the application, or use it to build a competing product.
3. Free trial
Subscription tiers (Coach Monthly and Coach Annual) include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged for the first billing cycle automatically. The Founding Lifetime tier is sold without a trial and is charged once at checkout.
4. Payment and renewals
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as Merchant of Record for your purchase and handles tax invoicing in your jurisdiction. By purchasing you also accept Lemon Squeezy's terms.
Subscription tiers renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy customer portal; cancellation prevents future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current cycle except as described below.
5. Refunds and right of withdrawal
If Pelaa does not work as described or you change your mind, contact us within 14 days of purchase at support@pelaa.tv and we will refund your payment, subject to the verification needed by Lemon Squeezy.
Subscription tiers begin with a 14-day free trial during which no charge is made; cancelling before the trial ends prevents any charge.
For one-time purchases (Founding Lifetime tier), Pelaa is supplied as a digital service that is made available immediately at checkout. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki 38/1978, Chapter 6, §16), you expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has begun to be supplied (i.e. once your license key and download are made available). This waiver does not affect your rights in respect of defective service or non-conformity with these Terms.
6. Updates and availability
We continue to develop Pelaa and will release updates. Some updates may add, change, or remove features. We aim to keep the website and license validation services available, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation.
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the videos and other content you process with Pelaa, including making sure you have the rights to use that content. You are responsible for keeping your license key and customer account secure.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pelaa for any unlawful purpose, to infringe other people's rights, or in a way that could damage our infrastructure or reputation.
9. Intellectual property
Pelaa, the Pelaa name, the Pelaa logo, and all related software, designs, and documentation are owned by IB Enterprises Oy or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Software to you; you receive only the license described above.
10. Warranty disclaimer
Pelaa is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Mandatory consumer rights under Finnish and EU law are not affected by this disclaimer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Pelaa is limited to the fees you paid for Pelaa in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited by this section.
12. Termination
You may stop using Pelaa at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, including failure to pay or violation of the license restrictions. On termination your right to use Pelaa ends, but sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers, and continued use of Pelaa after the change indicates acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Finland. EU consumers also have the right to bring claims in the courts of their country of residence and to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
